PUR Hot-Melt Adhesives for Carpet Textiles: Key Features

High Tuft-Bind Strength → Prevents fiber shedding

Flexible & Durable → Withstands foot traffic without cracking

Moisture & Heat Resistant → Suitable for automotive/outdoor carpets

Fast-Curing → Compatible with high-speed production

Main characteristics

Thermoplastic adhesive that melts when heated (typically 80°C–160°C) and bonds fabrics upon cooling.

Reactive PU (PUR): Cures with moisture for permanent, wash-resistant bonds.

Non-reactive PU: Standard thermoplastic adhesive, flexible but less durable than PUR.

Used for seam sealing, lamination, hemming, and reinforcing textiles.
